Le Rose Bride - Bek

Mar 3, 2019

What is your name?

Rebekah Agar

Wedding date and location?

07.12.18, Darlington Estate Winery in Glen Forest, Perth, WA

How did he propose?

Steve proposed whilst we were glamping at the Bay of Fires Bush Retreat in Tasmania. We sat by the camp fire, under the stars drinking our favourite wine when he dropped on one knee and proposed.

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

Our main goal was to have all our family and friends surrounding us with good food, good wine and an epic dance floor. We were both really focused on our guests enjoying themselves on the dance floor all night so we had all our guests request their favourite song that would get them on the dance floor!

I really wanted the styling of the wedding to have a romantic and elegant feel to it as our venue was simply stunning with an outdoor dance floor under fairy lights. We made sure to use lots of candles and beautiful florals to decorate.

How did you choose Le Rose for your wedding robes?

I loved the simple elegance that they had. They were the perfect gift for my bridesmaids and I loved that I could personalize them with their names. I really wanted matching getting ready outfits and I wanted them to be modern and on-trend but also timeless. Theses robes were PERFECT and the champagne colour for the bridesmaids has photographed beautifully  and worked so well with our colour palette.  PLUS the floral print for my mum and flower girl were cute as.

What did you like the most about your Le Rose robes?

They were sooo comfortable! Perfect to wear while getting ready so we didn’t smudge our tans or have any clothing marks. The silk feel felt so luxurious.

Were there funny moments from the day?

- My bridesmaids rapped their speech to “gold digger” by Kanye West and had everybody on their feet joining in for the chorus. They wrote their own lyrics and rapped each line perfectly.

- Our beautiful fur baby Humphrey (a 2 year old labradoodle) was our ring bear and he definitely stole the show and provided a lot of laughs when he ran down the aisle to us.

- Our photographer had us play Chinese whispers during our group photo and the groomsmen were a bit cheeky with their whispers which had us all in hysterics while taking photos!

What was your favourite moment while getting ready in your robe?

It would have to be standing on the balcony of our amazing Crown Towers Crystal Club Villa and popping the top off the champagne and having a toast to my last few moments as a miss before I left for the ceremony. We also had an amazing bridal brunch set up in our villa so we spent the morning grazing on the most beautiful and delicious grazing table, drinking champagne, listening to our favourite songs and getting pampered.

I also shared some beautiful moments with my mum in our robes, sneaky hugs and words of wisdom when she could see I was getting nervous, reminiscing on growing up etc.

What wisdom or advice can you share to other Le Rose Brides?

To enjoy all the small details and savour each moment. Soak up all the love you feel for your new husband but also all the love that surrounds you on the day – it really is an overwhelming feel of happiness. Try to see past the little hiccups, in the long run they really don’t matter.

Try to keep a list of any absolute must-dos you want to happen on the day (such as to dance with a certain relative, or have photos with someone specific) and give this to your maid of honor.

Don’t stress about trying to see and talk to every person at your wedding – it’s virtually impossible!
