Real Bride - Isabella

Real Bride - Isabella

The beautiful bride Isabella wore our 'Monique Lace Bridal Robe' with her ladies in our 'Georgina Satin Lace Trim Robe'

How did your now husband propose? Were you expecting it or was it a complete surprise?

My husband proposed to me on the beach in St. Thomas! It's a place he's been traveling to since he was a kid so it was really special. I was completely surprised and over the moon.

What was your vision for your wedding?

We really wanted a wedding that was romantic, elegant and timeless! I wanted to look back on my wedding years from now and have it look classic rather than leaning towards various  trends. We choose white flowers with gold accents, an all white cake and simplistic details and decorating that really matched the vibe of our venue.

Tell us a little about your venue, what made you say yes to this particular venue?

We got married on a golf course in Bedminster New Jersey and it was my absolute dream venue. It was timeless and elegant but also masculine and regal. Every single detail from the large scale fountains and floor to ceiling windows made me feel like I was in a fairytale. Our venue was also really close to lots of family which was really important to us.

Your dress was stunning, had you always had this particular style in mind?

I actually wore my mom's wedding dress! My mom preserved it hoping one day I would wear it, so when I got engaged we opened the box to have a fun try-on session and I immediately knew it was the one. I kept all the original details on the dress, including pearls and lace that were imported from France, but also added a sleeker neckline and lining to give it a modern touch.

We of course loved your getting ready moments and are so thrilled you chose Le Rose to be a part of your day. What made you choose us and the styles that you selected?

I spent so much time searching for perfect getting ready robes and Le Rose had the most gorgeous options. They were all so beautiful I had a hard time choosing one but I opted for a longer style lace robe with a dress underneath. There is such an emphasis on getting ready photos so I wanted to make sure I had something beautiful but also comfortable to wear. The quality was incredible and I love that they can be used even after the wedding. I gifted my bridesmaids the "Georgina Lace Trim Robe" and they absolutely loved them.

What were your favourite details of your day?

It's so hard to pick just one! With my bride tribe getting ready was so much fun. It was a super early wake up time but we managed to be (almost) on time and the excitement in the room was unmatched. My husband and I set aside a lot of time in between our ceremony and reception to take portrait styles photos around the grounds and it was so romantic. I loved the special one on one time to take in the day and create memories we'll be able to look at forever.

Do you have any advice for for future brides?

Set aside special time for you and your husband to be together alone at least once throughout the day. Weddings can be so busy and hectic it's hard to have a chance to take it all in. While we got some alone time taking photos, we also did a last dance at the end of our reception when our guests had cleared out of the ballroom. There's so many ways to schedule in just a little bit of time so find something that works for both of you and the flow of your day.
