Shannon Lawson's Hen's Party

Dec 11, 2019

The beautiful bride to be Shannon Lawson had the most epic hen’s party! A lush top floor apartment full of her best girls all wearing their Le Rose Pyjamas with cocktails flowing, plenty of games and dancing, what more could a bride to be want for her final fling?! We chatted with Shannon to get the run down on how she planned such a fun hen’s day!

Q: Your hen’s party looked like so much fun! Can you explain the theme and did you organise it the party or did your bridal party organise it for you?

A:  I actually organised it myself. I knew what I wanted and to be honest I was happy to do it. I’m not great at asking people for help but my friends all decided to surprise me with a few games to make me feel special. I wanted the day to be relaxed and affordable for my friends so I decided what better way to celebrate than a slumber party theme with a twist into the night

Q: Where was your hen’s party held and what made you decide on that location?

A: I’m so blessed to have fantastic in laws that opened up their home to 20 cackling girls. Situated on the top floor it elevated the idea to a penthouse feel and made it feel exclusive and expensive.

Q: What was most important to you on your hen’s day?

A: Having all my friend groups meeting for the first time and allowing them to ditch their phones and get caught up in the moment.

Q: What was your drink of choice on your hen’s day?

A: Bubbles and Tequila!

Q: Did you have some fun activities planned for the girls?

A: A few girls planned some naughty games for me like pin the junk on the hunk and pass the parcel questions. I then surprised them with a two course dinner in Potts Point with Male Burlesque.

Q: What was your favourite game of the day?

A: My friends prepared questions that my fiancé answered on my behalf and I had to guess the correct. They even had a bunch of images of body parts that I had to guess who were Toms.

Q: What did you love most about your Le Rose Pyjama’s?

A: The Le Rose customer service was unbelievable. Supplying customised PJ's for 20 girls isn’t easy and they smashed it. They were beautifully packaged and some of the curvier girls were nervous to wear them but felt really comfortable in them. They were such good sports all dressing down and embracing the theme.

Q: What song do you remember dancing to on your hen’s day?

A: To my surprise one of the girls planned an entire Spotify playlist for me. She picked all the classics and knew how much I loved Whitney Houston.

Q: Funniest moment from the day?

A: Being dropped by the Male dancers and recovering with my own dance moves.
